Senator Osita Ngwu Emerges APC Consensus Candidate for Enugu West 2027
Senator Osita Ngwu has been selected as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 Enugu West Senatorial election.
The decision, reached late last night by party leaders and stakeholders, marks a significant step in the APC’s preparations for the upcoming election cycle in Enugu State.
In a statement following his emergence, Senator Ngwu expressed deep appreciation to Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the party leadership, and other stakeholders for the confidence placed in him.
“I do not take this trust for granted. It is a call to do more, to serve better, and to remain accountable to our people,” Ngwu stated.
He also extended gratitude to his supporters, acknowledging their role in strengthening what he described as a shared vision for the district. According to him, unity and commitment remain essential to achieving electoral success and sustaining development in Enugu West.
“Together, we have come this far, and together, we will go even further. With unity, focus, and the grace of God, victory is within reach, and the progress of Enugu West will be sustained,” he added.
Ngwu’s emergence as the APC consensus candidate is expected to shape the political landscape in Enugu West as parties begin early positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
