Senator Osita Ngwu joined colleagues on the Senate Committee on Works for the oversight and flag-off of the 125km Akwanga–Jos Section of the Akwanga–Maiduguri Superhighway, led by the Honourable Minister of Works, Sen. Engr. David Umahi, CON, and the Honourable Minister of State for Works, Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Esq.

The landmark infrastructure project is of immense strategic economic importance to the nation and is expected to enhance connectivity, improve the movement of goods and services, and stimulate economic growth across the region.

Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of Works has re-evaluated and re-awarded the contract for the Rehabilitation of the Old Enugu–Onitsha Road (Opi Junction – Ukehe – Okpatu – Udi – Oji River to Anambra Border). The project is expected to restore the critical road corridor, improve safety for motorists, ease transportation, and support economic activities along the route.
