Senator Osita Ngwu Visits Enugu West Academy Centres Ahead of 2026 UTME
He has concluded a tour of Enugu West Academy centres across the zone as part of efforts to encourage students preparing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The visits took him through Aninri, Awgu, Oji, Udi, and Ezeagu, where he interacted with students and teachers across the academy’s 19 coordinating centres.
During the visits, he also distributed learning materials to students to support their preparation for the examination.
At each stop, he met with learners, listened to their concerns, and observed ongoing academic activities. He acknowledged the commitment of teachers, as well as the support from parents and community leaders in sustaining the programme.
Speaking during the visits, he described the initiative as deeply personal, emphasizing that it goes beyond routine engagements.
“This is not a routine for me. It is a responsibility,” he said.
Reflecting on what he witnessed during the tour, he added, “What I saw was moving determination in our students, sacrifice from our teachers, and support from parents and community leaders.”
He noted that the initiative represents a broader vision beyond examinations. “This journey is bigger than an examination. It is about shaping minds and building a future where no child is left behind,” he stated.
Delivering a direct message to students, he said, “My message to every student remains simple: your attitude will determine your altitude in life. Stay focused. Stay disciplined. You are capable.”
He also expressed appreciation to all stakeholders supporting the programme. “To everyone supporting this vision, I thank you. We will keep this promise, one child at a time,” he added.
The tour highlights ongoing efforts by the Enugu West Academy to strengthen learning outcomes and provide students across the region with the support needed to succeed in the 2026 UTME and beyond.
