The Senate has passed the State Police Bill.
After considering and adopting all 26 clauses, the Red Chamber overwhelmingly approved the constitutional amendment proposal, with only ONE dissenting vote from about 93 senators present.
The Senate also passed the Police Trust Fund Repeal and Re-enactment Bill aimed at providing better funding for the Nigeria Police and strengthening the nation’s security architecture.
